Gabriel Olawale Adelagunja Known as Wale Adelagunja is a native of Ijebu –Igbo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Mr. Adelagunja obtained a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and a Masters of Science in Human Services from Wilmington University. He is also a certificated in real estate and business management.

Mr. Adelagunja is the Chief Executive Officer of Anchor Alliance LLC, a Delaware-based company that engages in providing services to various public and private entities fostering growth and prosperity. Anchor Alliance is also promoting the potential of Delaware companies to African and Caribbean Countries.

  Mr. Adelagunnja has worked and volunteered in behavioral health settings as an Auditor, Behavioral Analyst, Case Worker, Mental Health Specialist, Program Specialist and a Rehabilitation Coordinator. He is a U.S Army Veteran who proudly served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is also a Member of the Delaware Army National Guard. For his service he earned the following awards: Combat Action Badge and the Delaware Army National Guard Governor’s Meritorious Unit Award. Additionally, Mr. Adelagunja is a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni – Baltimore Division, which covers Delaware.

  Mr. Adelagunja always remembers his roots and very humble beginnings. He is actively involved in the Yoruba Leadership both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora. He is a member of the Yoruba Assembly, and Chairman of the Political Committee for the Delaware Africa Caribbean Coalition (DACC). Mr. Adelagunja along with Members of the DACC, created legislation in conjunction with the Majority Leaders of the House and the Senate, to birth the Delaware Africa Caribbean Affairs Commission in the State Department.

  Mr. Adelagunja is the Liaison Director of Oodua Foundation, a worldwide organization of Yoruba African Professionals and academics, dedicated to the promotion and interest of the Yoruba People of Nigeria. During the crisis caused by Boko Haram in Nigeria, He organized for leaders of Yoruban Community in the United States to appeal to the United States Committee on Foreign Relations and the Chairman of the African Affairs Committee of the United States Senate, to work with the Nigerian Government to end the Boko Haram crisis. They also met with significant officers of the American Law Enforcement to discuss ways of ensuring safety and security of Nigerian Children growing up in America, thus preventing them from falling into the dangers of recruitment by terrorists.

  As a community organizer, Mr. Adelagunja has worked with Law Enforcement Agencies to create a presentation on community awareness and briefing on Safety and Security of children, and children’s protection from contamination and recruitment by terrorists. These briefings, which involved many civic and faith-based organizations, were conducted at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD, Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and on the premises of Immigrant Churches and Mosques.

  In 2014, as the Liaison Director of Oodua Foundation, Mr. Adelagunja invited various Yoruban Political Leaders from all parties to a series of discussions with leaders of the Yoruba Community in the State of Delaware, for the purpose of bringing peace to the Nigerian presidential election that was scheduled for 2015. The election between then candidate Muhammadu Buhari and now president, Goodluck Jonathan, was widely feared to end in great conflict and violence. Through his efforts, Mr. Adelagunja organized peace trips among Yoruban Leaders to Nigeria, which still take place to date.

  He is married to Adeteju “Teju” Adelagunja, a registered nurse. They are blessed with a son and two daughters, Oluwaloshe, Oluwasemire and Oluwalonimi.
