The Delaware African and Caribbean Affairs Commission may establish subcommittees to engage with other organizations in the State of Delaware that share a similar mission to exchange ideas and information and provide those organizations the opportunity to serve the Commission.
The Community Engagement Subcommittee works collaboratively with and through groups of people of African descent in Delaware with common interest to address issues affecting their respective communities.
The International Affairs and Trade Promotion Subcommittee provides a unifying framework to coordinate engagement with international groups and export promotion activities for Delaware companies, especially small and medium sized businesses.
The Economic Development Subcommittee is responsible for developing and recommending policies, procedures, etc., for adoption to the Commission that support a healthy and diversified community economy.
The Education Subcommittee provides Commission members with current information on educational programs and opportunities within the State of Delaware.
The Public Relations Subcommittee builds and maintains a positive public image for the Commission by creating media – from press releases to social media messages – that share public opinion of the Commission.
The Tourism and Cultural Promotion Subcommittee promotes tourism to boost the economies of local and international partners and plant a sense of cultural exchange between foreigners and the people of Delaware.
The Sociopolitical and Environmental Justice Subcommittee promotes the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
